Our Commitment
To keep all our students safe and look after their best interests without compromise.
To be available and open to feedback, questions, and support without judgement.
To foster an environment that can allow one to reach their goals and get a sense of their potential.

Students must practice good hygiene.

Do not remove kimonos or gear during class.
When the instructor assigns a task, continue doing that task until the instructor says otherwise.
No jewelry or other wearables during training.
No bare feet anywhere except the training mats -
Those with under 1 year of experience may be at increased risk to injure themselves or others, and so they are monitored closer than senior students.
If you were learning how to drive, you couldn’t learn properly or effectively at speeds of 150km/hr, nor could you at 20km/hr.
A speed limit is necessary.
Students require a minimum of 2 stripes on their white belts to spar from standing or will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in concern for safety and control.
Only apply as much force as needed.
Start and end a match with a handshake.
Please decline the invitation to spar if you feel uncomfortable or feel a risk to your safety.
While sparring, if you come near another match, the group with the lowest belt must stop and reset.
The student who ever intentionally harms another in any way will end their relationship with our school. -

Can I pause or refund my membership?
Monthly memberships will be paused at end of billing period as per request and need at least 7 days notice.
Annual memberships are given 1 pause per year; additional pauses are evaluated case by case.
All 3- and 6-month memberships and any membership purchased at a promotional discount cannot be paused.
Any memberships cannot be transferred and cannot be refunded after a 2-week grace period that follows purchase, with exception of an event where the school owner has decided to end a student’s relationship with the school.
The decision to end a professional relationship is evaluated case-by-case, at the owner’s discretion, and occurs due to egregious rule violations and/or concern for liability and overall student safety.Class cancellations (sick, holiday, tournaments etc.)
We are closed for most holidays, the rare Saturday to coach a tournament, and in the rare event that a coach is sick and nobody can fill in, the class may be cancelled. These are communicated to members through e-mail and no refunds or extensions on memberships are given in these instances.
How do I cancel?Send an e-mail to hello@reginabjj.com

Do you have any restrictions on uniform color, brand, etc.? If it fits and has no holes, its no problem.
Do I have to buy the kimono you sell at the school? No, but we do replace any kimonos we sell for free if they shrink or rip up to 2 months.
Do you care if my kimono has another clubs’ patches on it? No
Can I enter a tournament? Students need to speak with John prior to entering.
Can I train/cross train at another Jiu Jitsu gym? Yes, and you will not be judged or treated differently for your decision or curiosity.
How do I get better, faster? Ask sincere questions of your teachers and coaches, attend class, train as if your highest desired was to achieve the rank of black belt.
No bare feet
Everyone in the facility must wear sandals or socks, unless they are on the training floor actively participating in the class.
Everyone must arrive with socks on, not bare feet, as those with bare feet will walk on the entry mats and defeat the purpose of having bare feet rules.
Information on Skin Infections
We have yet to have a spread of infectious skin conditions at our facility.
As these may have the potential to seriously jeopardize human health and the operations at our school, all hygiene guidelines need to be taken seriously.
For example, in 2025 UFC Athlete Ben Askren contracted Staph Infection in the training room which spread to his lungs and without a double lung transplant he would have died.
